great location for:

Etosha National Park is one of the best game viewing areas in Southern Africa. Much of the park is covered by the Etosha pan, a vast, flat, saline desert which attracts a great number of flamingos and other birds. To the south, the open grasslands, forests and permanent waterholes are a magnet for a whole host of game. Cheetah and lion are among the predators that can be seen and black and white rhino are also found towards the west of the park. It is possible to self-drive and stay at a number of rest camps within the national park, many with floodlit water holes. Alternatively, outside the park gates, there are a host of quality lodges which offer guided game drives.
