great location for:

In 1962, the BaTawana people set aside an area of the Okavango Delta for protection and created the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Surrounded by concessions, this is a region abundant with wildlife and famous for its predators; it is claimed that the Moremi area contains 30% of all African Wild dog. It is a varied and dynamic area consisting of permanent and seasonal swamp, dry land, salt pans, and rivers. Many camps and lodges are based on or near the largest island, Chief’s Island, where both Black and White Rhino have been re-introduced. The Mopane Tongue, a mainly dry peninsular, juts into the wetlands and is covered with dense forest, unlike the rest of the Delta.
